CRAZY FOR POPPIES 2

It turns out that I really did not have to travel far for some wonderful poppies and their painting of the countryside. Just over a mile away is Mission Trails Regional Park where both George and I volunteer.

Just driving the road through the park one sees some lovely displays of poppies.

Then a hike up Oak Canyon gives one some more beauty with poppies and other wildflowers to admire.

  1. I love European red poppies but the Californian yellow are also stunning and I find then far easier to grow here surprisingly than the red ones. Have a good day Diane
P.S> The yellow writing on your blog is very difficult to read!

  2. Even better not to travel far from home to see these delightful hillsides of gold.
